If I were to guess, 2020 didn't go quite like you planned? I mean, that's obvious. I know that for me and my family, 2020 was an emotional roller coaster....with lots and lots of sharp dips and falls. The virus may have impacted some more than others, but I think one thing is certain --> We are ALL ready to move forward to a brighter and more hopeful 2021!
In times like this, I've learned that the best option is to always lean into the things that I CAN control. So many things are out of our hands. I know for me, focussing on the uncontrollable leaves me anxious, angry, and worried. So rather, lets focus on what we are able to, and become the best versions of ourselves in the process.
It's a new year and a fresh start, which is the perfect time to have a NEW outlook on fitness and nutrition. Adopting a healthy lifestyle will make you feel IN CONTROL. This, in turn will ease anxiety, lessen depression, and give you a new sense of worth and well being. Exercise has been scientifically proven as a very effective anxiolytic. Feeding your body with nutrient dense foods and maintaining a healthy weight will give you energy and make you feel GOOD. Exercise and nutrition are things we can control. They are good for you. So why not give it a try? Why not try something new in 2021?
